FUNNIEST
MOMENT 2001
"TSUNAMI CRUSH"
A paintballer (Tsunami) visiting from Alabama was invited
to participate in one of High Noon's "Cops and Robbers"
specialty games down in Splat City. The young deputy sheriff
reservist, who by the way is big enough to be a pro linebacker,
embraced the game with enthusiasm. He was one of two "Cops"
in the game, the other "Cop" being his trainer
on the force who suggested to him that "We treat
this like a training exercise" (i.e., the real thing).
We had more "innocent bystanders" than we have
ever had before; and as they created diversions and chaos,
a hostage scene erupted. After several moments of assessing
the situation, Tsunami (PUMPED with adrenaline) seized
a split-second opportunity and tackled the gunman AND
the hostage, disarming the gunman. The moment was caught
on video.
NOTE: This was a specialty game. See Code
of Conduct, particularly, Rule 5. ... I will not deliberately
make aggressive physical contact with another person.
