That's A LOT of Rain! For the first time in THIRTEEN YEARS of Splatmandu, our Scenario Sunday was cancelled due to the torrential downpour accompanied by lightning. So the day wasn't a total wash, the top Seven from each team were allowed 10 minutes to play "Mud Tag", to determine a portion of the team total for the day. All items gathered on the field of play were to be returned to the Neutral Zone. If a player was tagged by a member of the opposing team, the eliminated player had to drop all items and return to the Neutral Zone to tag back in. Two of the Red's Skins also were released onto the field to keep both teams on their toes. At the end of the 10 minutes, the KGB Ranch (Blue) gathered items totaling 370 in coins, and the CJW Ranch (Gray) gathered items to bring in a total of 140 in coins. In addition, those Gamblers, Captains and Co-Captains that were interested, met up at the house and engaged in a Texas Hold-em Tournament, to determine the rest of the team total for the day. First place was $3,500.00, and Second place was $1,500.00. To mix things up a bit, one member of Ted's Reds was allowed to participate in the Tournament. This proved to be a bit of a gamble, as Mr. John Black, (John Rowan) and Kid Blaze (Korey Blasius) were in an epic struggle down to the final hour of the tournament. Mr. Black was victorious, getting three Aces to clinch the win. Kid Blaze received the $1,500.00 for the Second Place prize, adding to the KGB Ranch total for the month of June.
