Thank
you one and all for a great season! The canned food drive pulled
in $2,200.00 in supplies for the Domestic Assault Shelter, our
largest single donation on record. Your genersity is GREATLY appreciated.
Our next goal is to buy the shelter appliances with our proceeds
from SplatmanBOO Haunted
Forest. They are desparately in need of a new refridgerator
and washer/dryer set. We have one final 110%er to acknowledge
for the season, Gene, for helping re-vamp the
registration booth. In addition, congratulations to Tony
Reigle, for his first "Go for the Gold" pin,
and Nathan Hohnke, who achieved his 5th consecutive
year of "Goin' for the Gold", warranting a five year
appreciation trophy.
Thank
you to Ryan who returned the Bob Long Intimidator
to the club, allowing us to re-sell the gun to buy more for the
club! Congratulations one and all for a record-breaking season.
See you all Opening Day, April 1st 2007!
BIG
GAME X - September 17, 2006
Any
person that was lucky enough to come out today saw our largest
BIG GAME numbers in the 12 years of Splatmandu. We broke numerous
records, first being we have over 100 players per team! (115
per side to be exact) This made 230
players on the field this Sunday! We were graced with
an amazing support and referee staff this year, with 19+ on the
field keeping everyone safe. 41 new waivers put our grand
total through BIG GAME to 738 club members
for the year. 2006 MAFIA WARS Award

For
more 110%ers were added to the list as well. Special thanks go
out to Galesburg Meat Company for the great pig
roast, Mike from Weenie Kings (best hotdogs on
earth), Brian for running that Blue line like
a pro this year, and Carol, Rex's dad for the
YARDS AND YARDS of gravel that allowed our road to support our
huge numbers.
As
always, our raffles produced great results for the club. Sticker
Nick raffled numerous items, including the Bob Long Intimidator,
played with by Bob Long himself, numerous 2005 Splatmandu DVDs,
BIG GAME X
t-shirt,
Paint, and a gun kit. Our raffle provided the club with $950.00.
put into a Home Depot card, to be used to buy supplies for the
fields (the first time this has happened in 12 years). The SplatmanBOO!
donation jar as well as proceeds from the Weenie Kings for SplatmanBOO!
helped us add to our dwindling SplatmanBOO! fund. Now we can purchase
those necessary supplies to make the public scream, with all proceeds
going to the Domestic Assault Shelter.
And
finally, from the staff and Key Members of Splatmandu, we would
like to thank each and every one of you for an amazing Scenario.
Thank you for Playing With Honor, and Keeping it Pure. This place
would not be the mecca that it is without the support of club
members like you.

Wonderful
weather graced us yet again this Sunday! Our 110%er list continues
to grow, adding 2 more. Thanks go out to Abby
and Krezo for all their contributions to the
Club this year. Our lowest Scenario numbers of the year STILL
put us with over 100 players on the field this weekend.
We have added 17 new club members, bringing our total so far to
681 for the year!

A heart-felt thanks go out to all of you for yet another Scenario
of Playing With Honor. This weekend boasted over 130 players
on the field, and no problems were reported yet again! In addition,
SPLATMANDU HAS BROKEN OUR ALL-TIME WAIVER RECORD WITH A TOTAL
OF 642 SO FAR FOR 2006! Our all-time high was
in 2004 with 618 for April
through October! The lucky club member 619 for this year was Max.
Sorry, no special prize or anything, but we thank you!
Three
more club members made the coveted 110%er list this week. We'd
like to honor Ken, James and Glenn
for all the hard work on the fields as well as personal time dedicated
to helping this place run smoothly. We couldn't do what we do
without help from generous people like you. Also, Bruce
Lego was made an honorary officer by the "Kingpin"
Hornello himself of the Sycamore Mafia! Well deserved honor Bruce!
Congratulations from all of the Key Members at Splatmandu!
You definately deserve it!

Even
with the less-than-perfect weather, we had about 138 players
on the field this Scenario! Thank you again for the great
showing of Sportsmanship. Also, 4 more club members were 110%ed
for their efforts: Cindy, Olivia, Ben and
Zack. Thank you all!

honor. Thanks go out to John Shay, Sticker Nick, Drake,

March
18 and 19, 2006
The
weather turned out to be great. The Neutral Zone is 90% completed,
a huge dump-run was made, the Chrono got a face-lift, any items
left over from the BOO! in the City are now put away, and a new
building went up in the City (sad to see the bricks go, but the
building looks great!) The Forest continued to be groomed as well
(great work Shannon!). Thanks to Jason T. Matt, Kenny,
Courtney, and Korey for all the back-breaking
labor this weekend!

March
11, 2006
With
Ted and Kathy gone this past weekend, we really had to step up
our work load, and everyone came through giving that 110%. The
Painted Forest has no stray sticks (find one, we dare you!) The
supply pile got condensed, and a stick fence was completed around
two-thirds of the front yard, adding at least 7 to 10 more parking
spaces! Thanks to Stephanie for coming this weekend
to help out!

March
4, 2006
Great
work on the fields this weekend! We got Splat City playable, the
Nest re-fortified, the tree off the Alamo, plus more stick-dragging
in the Forest! Thank you to Bob, Troy, Diane, Rod, Sticker
Nick and Nate!
February

Special
thanks to Josh, Scott and Bruce for all your
help in the Painted Forest and Hornet's Nest this weekend.
30
GROUNDHOGS FOR 2006!

February
12, 2006
Two
more groundhogs (now we're at 27) joined the
pre-season work crew on this snowy Sunday afternoon. Thank you
Tommy and Briar for all your
help in the back pasture.
February
11, 2006
Three
more goundhogs (that makes 25 ) joined the usual
suspects Saturday afternoon clearing Neal's Preserve from much
of the overgrown briars and branches/treetops which made that
portion of the property virtually unusable. The pine trees have
never looked better. We're heading out there again tomorrow to
put one more day into the effort. Thanks Eric, Johnny
and Chris for helping us clean up that area.

Thank
you Todd, Josh and Stephanie for your work in
the Painted Forest on Super Bowl Sunday. After one weekend, our
2006 Groundhogs now total 22!

Also,
a special thanks to Sheilla Stiles for running The Store in the
Neutral Zone again this upcoming season.

February

Thank
you to each of the 19 Groundhogs for coming out
today (in icky weather) to work on the fields, getting them ready
forthe 2006 Paintball season. The first of the 2006 Groundhogs
are:T & K, Nate & Jen, Karl & Shannon, Rod
& Sheilla, Joe, Ray, Alex, Tony, Jason, Eric, Bill, Justin,
Tom, Corryn and Rendall. Work preparing the fields continues
until opening day... but to be a groundhog, you have to sweat
in February. Last year we had 38 by the end of the month... we
are half way there on day one.

We
are very happy to announce that Karl Ruedger will again provide
CO2 and Rod Stiles will again provide nitro/compresssed air and
paintballs for the Splatmandu Club Members. The provisions will
be made available in the Neutral Zone during the 2006 Paintball
season. Thank you, Karl and Rod!
