CAN'T
WAIT (1-16-2004)
Ted
and Kathy will start work on the fields on Saturday, January 31st.
We will probably be having a bon fire (looks like the Rental Car
building didn't make it... it will be the first building constructed
when the snow is gone). We'd love the company.
Coming
Soon (as in VERY soon)
You
asked for it. The Splatmandu Members Forum is about to launch.
Stay tuned...

Thank
you (1-27-2004)
Thank
you, Jen Cooley, for providing us with so many great paintball
pictures. Your talent for being in the right place at the right
time is amazing (and we know you've taken more than one stinger
to get there). Thank you, Rod Stiles, for your contribution toward
getting Jen's pictures on the website.

UNBELIEVABLE
TURNOUT! (1-31-2004)

of weekends to complete was accomplished in just one afternoon.
Thank you to Alex, Travis, Jessa, Todd, Jason, Tony, Rod,
Ray, Jon, Karl, Shannon, John, Joe, Abe, Kevin, TJ, Tyler and
Todd.

MORE
GROUNDHOGS (2-9-2004)
Thank
you to Josh, Willie and Kimber (our newest groundhogs)
for all your help on Saturday. Thank you Rod, Ray, Karl, Shannon
and Alex, for running chainsaws and building four impressive blinds
in the Painted Forest while cleaning up three treetops. With snow
still on the ground, our focus will continue to be the Painted
Forest. There is still more cutting and cleanup so if you can
bring a chainsaw, that would be great!

CONGRATULATIONS!
(2-21-2004)
Tyler,

once again... if you can hold your own at Splatmandu, you can
dominate the game anywhere. We are very proud of our young guns
and never doubted their abilities for a second.

KEY
MEMBERS
As many know, the 110ers are the backbone of the club. Among them
are the Key Members. These are the "go to" people in
the Neutral Zone. Their efforts expect no reward, yet we all benefit.
Although the 110% Club is a seasonal recognition (no resting on
your laurels around here), once you are identified as a Key Member,
you are always a Key Member. The Key Members of Splatmandu are:
Ted Cross , Kathy Cross , Nick Fletcher, Abe Hohnke, Nate
Hohnke, Joe Neal, John Rowan, Karl Ruedger, TJ Baker and Rod Stiles.
Players
can rate Splatmandu
Club
members (anyone who has signed a waiver) - IF you rate Splatmandu
a "10 our of 10" add your review of Splatmandu to pdreview.com.
IF YOU HAVE ANY COMPLAINTS, LET'S KEEP THEM IN HOUSE. Feel free
to e-mail your concerns to ted@splatmandu.com and he will personally
address them.

Thinking toward the 2004 season (12-26-2003)
(Thanks, Rod, for the great picture of Tony!)
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Opening Day: (4-4-2004)
What can we say.... 131 people signed
waivers and became the first Club Members of the 2004 Season.
Generous cash and food/non-perishables were donated for the food
drive. A HUGE turnout and by all accounts everyone Played With
Honor. The first hour of the Rising Sons scenario earned
the Blue team 3000 mission points.
The
Key Members and Groundhogs were announced in the Neutral Zone,
along with 35 110ers: T&K, Karl,
Shannon, Rod, Ray, Cyrus, Joe, John, Abe, Kevin, Alex, Jason,
Todd, Tony, Jon, Nate, Jen, Eric, TJ, Tyler, Todd, Josh, Eric,
Tom, Mike, David, Troy, Sheilla, Steve, Amy, Jason, Kevin, Jon
and Becky. If you were one of the 131 on the fields today,
you saw for yourself what these people accomplished in the offseason.

Scenario
Sunday - Hour 2 (5-2-2004)
Great
turnout AND the weather was PERFECT! All 118 players did a GREAT
job today! The reinsertion lines were a much needed improvement.
The second hour of The Rising Sons scenario earned the
Blue team 3000 points.
The
36th 110er of the year was announced: Tony
Jr. your help getting ready for the scenarios has been
very much appreciated! Thanks Tony for your 110% efforts!

Building
Memories: (5-22-2004)
The
weather held out! Our first special group of the season, a church/youth
group from Elkhart, came out and played the fields in a private
outing hosted by the Splatmandu club members. Our club members
suited up 12 of the 20 players, ten of whom had never played paintball
before. In keeping with the "above and beyond" theme,
Chris (Cyrus) grilled hotdogs in the Neutral Zone for the group
while David (Patriot) and his family brought beverages, chips
and another one of Becky's cakes. Becky made cupcakes too! Thanks
Korey, you saved the day with CO2! Thank you one and all for donating
your time and equipment to the cause! Cyrus, Patriot, Becky, Jason
H. TJ, Alex, John, Joe, Todd, Jason T. Josh, Nate, Jen, Rod, Korey,
Nick and T & K.

Two
more one-teners Recognized: (5-31-2004)
The
names of the 37th and 38th 110ers
for the 2004 season were announced down in Splat City yesterday.
Korey and Nick, your help with the church/youth
group last Saturday was invaluable. Combine that effore with the
hours you have donated in the maintenance fo the paintball fields
and you both have clearly earned your spot! Thanks to you both
for your 110% efforts!

Scenario
Sunday - Hour 3: (6-9-2004)
There
were 90 players for the third hour of the Rising Sons
scenario. The Blue team, under the command of Prince Cire (Eric
Easterday) and Gen. Bravo (TJ Baker) won the 3000 mission points
up for grabs and did so with teamwork. Speaking of teamwork, the
Grey Team gathered the most mini-flags gaining themselves a flag
station at the start of the BIG GAME. With half the Scenario Sundays
having now been played, the Blue Team finds itself with a total
of 9000 mission points.
GREAT
JOB TO ALL THREE CAPTAINS FOR SURVIVING THE DAY. Mr. Black pulled
another trick out of his bag, but in the end Assassin Hunter Law
Bos O'Neal eliminated him. The Red Team's courageous push on the
Grey flag in the last minutes of the game was exciting and if
it had been successful would have created a tie at the end of
the hour... and ties are broken in the Hornet's Nest!

FOUR PLAYS OUT ON THE FOURTH OF JULY!
